“We shall treasure, preserve and build on our heritage and shall reign in righteousness for the great enduring good of the people.”
The First Royal Command of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn during the Coronation Ceremony on the 4th of May 2019
In adoption of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s First Royal Command, the Crown Property Bureau has recognised the commitment to perform duty for social development. It is significant to note that this steadfastness in improving livelihood of the people is not limited only to Bangkok but extends beyond to various provincial areas. As a result, the Crown Property Bureau together with the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences of Chiang Mai University, have led the establishment of “Wellness Centre” in Lampang Province.
This medical facility is conveniently located within the perimeter of the Crown Property Bureau Market Lampang (Ratchawong Market), giving local people an easy access to quality health services. The main concept is to create a modern universal design that is aesthetically pleasing, yet safe and user-friendly. The project’s first construction of the main building took place from March to May 2019 and was first open to the public in September of the same year. Later in 2021, the second phase of construction began as additional facilities were necessary in order to support the increasing demand. The expanded facilities feature a more variety of services for patients of all age groups ranging from general check-up to diagnostic x-ray, physical therapy and rehabilitation, child and adult development care, as well as massage therapy. All medical services are available on Mondays – Fridays from 7.30 a.m. – 8.00 p.m., on public holidays from 7.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m., except for Thai massage which is open on Mondays – Fridays from 9.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m., and on public holidays from 9.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
This project is the best reflection of the Crown Property Bureau’s commitment in working for social benefit rather than thriving for monetary gain. As a result, the project has uplifted the surrounding areas in many ways, especially around the historical Ratchawat Market which was once only a trade destination. Presently, this area has been transformed and become a crucial site for the promotion of healthy livelihood in Northern Thailand which could serve as a model for future projects in other areas.
