Following His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s aspiration to provide quality health care for all Thais, the Crown Property Bureau collaborated with Banphaeo Hospital in organising “Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team between 15th – 16th September which was the ninth and tenth round of 2023. The mobile medical unit provided eye surgery for the total of 435 patients at Phon Sai Hospital and Phon Thong Hospital, Roi Et Province. Located in remote areas and lack of specialised medical staff, both hospitals had to transfer patients to provincial hospital which incurred additional expenses. Such obstacle was the main factor that many local patients did not gain access to quality medical services, thus leading to health problems which affect their livelihood in a long run.
On this occasion, Air Chief Marshal Satitpong Sukvimol, the Lord Chamberlain of the Bureau of the Royal Household and the Director-General of the Crown Property Bureau, together with Police Colonel Thumnithi Wanichthanom, the Senior Deputy Director-General of the Crown Property Bureau and the Vice Chairman of “Mobile Royal Medical Unit” Project, and Mrs. Nualphan Lamsam, Advisor of the Crown Property Bureau, were present to inspect the project activities and provide support for all medical volunteers.
“Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team is another initiative which provides equal access to vision and dental care for local people living in remote areas.
