“Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team – the Tenth Round of 2025 at Ranot Hospital, Songkhla Province

 

     From 20th to 21st June 2025, the Privy Purse Bureau, in collaboration with Banphaeo General Hospital (Public Organisation), Siam Commercial Bank PCL, the SCB Foundation, Siam Cement PCL, the SCG Foundation, Deves Insurance PCL, Thai Beverage PCL, Airports of Thailand PCL, the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, PTT PCL, BJC Big C Group, and GMM Grammy PCL, organised a mobile eye surgery unit as part of the “Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team – the tenth round of 2025. The event took place at Ranot Hospital in Songkhla Province, where 363 patients underwent eye surgery.

     On this occasion, the Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province presided over the opening ceremony of the project, joined by executives, representatives from government agencies, and partner organisations. Together, they extended their support and encouragement to the medical staff, volunteers, and patients.

     Since its inception in 2022, the "Happy and Healthy Citizen Project by the Royal Medical Team" has carried out 46 mobile units across all regions, covering 27 provinces. It has provided treatment to a total of 22,835 patients.

     In 2025, the “Happy and Healthy Citizen Project by the Royal Medical Team" is dedicated to bringing together volunteer medical professionals and partner agencies to ensure ongoing healthcare support for the population.

     Ranot Hospital serves as a community healthcare centre offering a wide range of services, including medical diagnosis and treatment, health promotion, disease prevention, and rehabilitation. The hospital also provides alternative medicine and physical therapy, and plays a key role in overseeing public health services for the community.
