“Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team – the third round of 2023 at Srisangworn Sukhothai Hospital, Sukhothai Province

      Following His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s aspiration to provide quality health care for all Thais, the Crown Property Bureau organised the fully-equipped mobile royal medical unit from 6th – 8th April 2023 which was the third round in 2023. In addition to the Crown Property Bureau, several partner organisations also joined this charitable activity namely the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University (Ramathibodi Hospital), Srisangworn Sukhothai Hospital’s volunteer ophthalmologists, dentists and the Crown Prince Fund student volunteers.

     On 6th April 2023, Emeritus Professor Pornchai Simaroj (M.D.), Head of Centre for Health Policy and Management of Ramathibodi Hospital, presided to the opening ceremony of “Dek Thai Fai Dee” activity which aims to instil moral values and teach life-saving skills for young people.

     On 7th April 2023, H.E. Mr. Ampon Kittiampon, the Crown Property Bureau’s board member and the Vice Chairman of “Mobile Royal Medical Unit” project, presided to the closing ceremony of “Dek Thai Fai Dee” activity to deliver a speech and certificates to all participants.

     Air Chief Marshal Satitpong Sukvimol, the Lord Chamberlain of the Bureau of the Royal Household and the Director-General of the Crown Property Bureau, together with Police Colonel Thumnithi Wanichthanom, the Senior Deputy Director-General of the Crown Property Bureau and the Vice Chairman of “Mobile Royal Medical Unit” Project, were present to inspect the project activities, provide support for all medical volunteers, and offer eyeglasses as well as consumption goods to patients.

     On 8th April 2023, the Governor of Sukhothai Province and executives of partner organisations offered eyeglasses and consumption goods to patients. Throughout the course of three days, a total number of 235 patients underwent dental procedures and 252 patients underwent eye surgery. 

     All patients expressed their gratitude in getting access to free quality medical care for their ophthalmic and dental health concerns.
