His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn's commitment to national development, aimed at enhancing stability and improving the well-being of his people, aligns with the principles of sustainable development—particularly in ensuring equitable access to medical care. This vision led to the creation of the "Happy and Healthy Citizen Project by the Royal Medical Team," a collaborative initiative between the Crown Property Bureau and medical volunteers. Since its inception in 2022, the project has carried out 39 mobile units across all regions, covering 23 provinces. It has provided treatment to a total of 17,789 patients, addressing cataract and dental health issues.
From 11th - 13th February 2025, the Crown Property Bureau in collaboration with volunteer doctors from the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University (Ramathibodi Hospital), the Crown Prince Fund student volunteers, the Siam Commercial Bank PCL, SCB Foundation, the Siam Cement PCL, SCG Foundation, the Airports of Thailand PCL, the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and partner organisations, organised the third round of the 2025 "Happy and Healthy Citizen Project by the Royal Medical Team" to offer equal and timely access to medical care for people in remote areas nationwide. During this round, surgical treatment was successfully provided to 326 eye patients, including 16 tenants and residents of the Crown Property Bureau's properties in Chon Buri Province. (including those from Ko Si Chang) Additionally, dental services were offered to 1,073 patients, among whom 8 were Crown Property Bureau tenants. The project also included oral health education for 106 patients undergoing eye surgery and their relatives at Chonburi Hospital. Furthermore, dental care services were extended to female inmates at the Chon Buri Institution for Female Offenders, promoting better oral health and their overall well-being. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Kasem Watanachai, Privy Counsellor and Chairman of the Project, presided over the opening ceremony alongside executives from the Crown Property Bureau, government agencies, and partner organisations. Together, they distributed eyeglasses to patients and observed the project's activities, providing encouragement and support to the medical team, volunteers, and patients.
