In constructing national stability and happiness for all subjects, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn recognises the importance of providing quality health care for all Thais. Such aspiration has led to the initiation of mobile medical unit that travels with specialised doctors nationwide. Since the establishment in 2022, the project has provided cure for 15,002 cataract and dental patients in total.
On 23rd – 24th October 2024, the Crown Property Bureau collaborated with the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University (Ramathibodi Hospital), volunteer ophthalmologists, volunteer dentists, the Crown Prince Fund student volunteers and partner organisations in organising eye surgery unit for 116 patients and dental service for 1,004 patients as part of “Happy and Healthy Citizen” Project by the Royal Medical Team – the sixteenth round of 2024 at Satun Hospital and Satun Provincial Prison, Satun Province.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Ampon Kittiampon, the Privy Counsellor and the Vice Chairman of the Project, presided to the opening ceremony of the project which was joined by executives of the Crown Property Bureau, government organisations, and partner organisations. Together, they provided support for the medical team, citizen volunteers, as well as patients. Eyeglasses were also distributed for those who underwent eye surgery.
