On the occasion of the World Habitat Day 2023, Ms. Hatairat Yupas, Assistant Director-General of the Crown Property Bureau, obtained the certificate from H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security. Held at the Department of Social Development and Welfare in Phra Nakhon District on 2nd October 2023, the topic of the event was “Resilient Urban Economies Cities as Drivers of Growth and Recovery", organised by the Community Organizations Development Institute (Public Organisation) in collaboration with UNHABITAT (United Nations-Habitat), ACHR (Asian Coalition for Housing Rights), National Housing Authority of Thai and communities.
With priority on tenants’ livelihood, the Crown Property Bureau constantly supports the development of dwellings so that people could live a quality life. The development could be achieved through cooperation and participation within the community, as well as with the Community Organizations Development Institute (Public Organisation) through the Ban Mankong or the “secure housing” project.
Since 1985, the United Nations has designated the first Monday of October every year as the “World Habitat Day” to emphasises the importance of habitat and basic human right to adequate housing for everyone.
