The launch of Cross- Border QR Payment at Tha Chang, Bangkok

 

     The Crown Property Bureau has collaborated with the Siam Commercial Bank PCL to introduce the Cross-Border QR Payment, the financial solution that will assist small businesses in the community to effortlessly accept payment from Thai and international tourists. Representatives from the Crown Property Bureau namely Ms. Apiradee Ngernvijitr, the Deputy Director-General, and Mrs. Sunee Saturnwongsa, the Assistant Director-General, attended the launch of the collaboration at Tha Chang, Bangkok.

     Cross-Border QR Payment allows businesses to accept mobile banking payment from 7 countries which are Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and South Korea. Moreover, the service seemlessly facilitates transactions made through WeChatPay and Alipay from Chinese tourists. The specialised payment service is first introduced at the historic Tha Chang Wang Luang Market in Bangkok and several other community markets in nearby provinces such as the Old Phetchaburi Riverside Market in Phetchaburi Province and the Crown Property Bureau Market (Tha Kai Market) in Chachoengsao Province.
