"Happy and Healthy Citizen Project by the Royal Medical Team" is a collaborative initiative between the Crown Property Bureau and volunteer medical professionals, including the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University (Ramathibodi Hospital), the Faculty of Dentistry of Chulalongkorn University, and Banphaeo General Hospital (Public Organisation). The project aims to fulfill the royal initiative of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn to develop the nation for stability and improve the quality of life for his people. In alignment with His Majesty’s first royal command, “I shall sustain, preserve and continue and shall reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the people forever.” the Crown Property Bureau has embraced this guiding principle in its efforts to promote and improve the quality of life, particularly through health-related social welfare. The project’s mission is to provide support to citizens of all ages by offering access to healthcare services such as eye health check-ups, cataract treatment, and dental care through mobile medical units.
“One Sight, One Heart” initiative as part of the “Happy and Healthy Citizen" project drives cataract surgeries to provide patients with the opportunity to access medical care in a fair and equitable manner. On this occasion, we invite those with compassion to contribute and be a part of this effort to create new opportunities for vision.
A contribution of 8,000 THB covers the cost of one side of sight-restoring surgery and is eligible for a 100% tax deduction. All contributors will also receive a certificate of contribution, which can be obtained via https://forms.gle/BK9PG1sxPSzZXwTFA.
The SCG Foundation and SCB Foundation have joined the “One Sight, One Heart” initiative to provide the public with an opportunity to support cataract surgeries, creating a spirit of generosity to restore sight for patients in need.
Since 2022, the initiative has carried out mobile cataract surgery units and dental services for the elderly and the general public, providing access to various healthcare services. These services include eye health check-ups, cataract treatment, and dental care in numerous areas nationwide, benefiting a total of 16,817 patients, as follows:
